Intergenerational Carriage House in Squamish, BC
This family of two parent and an adult daughter was looking to have space to live together in an intergenerational home. This project involved providing a solution that worked for their narrow property with an 11′ 6″ access road to the back of the property with a river running along the rear of their site. To comply with local bylaws, the living space of their home also had to be elevated, resulting in our first stacking use case for the Lotus Building System. Our folding system made it much easier to deliver their home through their path to the back of the property, where we installed their new home, specially engineered to fit on their existing garage, ensuring local bylaw compliance.
Wildfire Recovery Home in Fintry, BC
After a wildfire impacted this client’s vacation property, they wanted to rebuild quickly to be able to enjoy their summer. This family also wanted to ensure their new home provided the quality and livability required to one day be a permanent home for their son. This property also featured a steep slope, providing an extra challenge for a rapid home replacement. Our Lotus Building System allowed us to deliver the home while navigating the sloped property, providing the family with a home ready for finishing as quickly as possible.
Non-profit Centre in Lac La Hache, BC
A non-profit was looking to build a new centre for their community-based volunteer work in Lac La Hache, a remote area of the Cariboo Region. This community has a shortage of trades, and is difficult to access, meaning outsourcing as much of the building process as possible was critical. Our prefabrication process allows us to do the structural manufacturing off-site, limiting the trades needed to complete the project.
Rental Property in Sechelt, BC
Sechelt’s lack of housing for first responders and medical workers meant that this community was loosing out on resources and skilled workers to support their community. In addition, this community’s lack of trades makes it difficult to find workers for new builds. Our off-site manufacturing means that we could limit the trades required in Sechelt, and we could more quickly build the housing required to meet the community’s needs.
